I am no travel agent. You hire me to assist you, or hourly or per-assignment basis. I become, in effect, your employee, and the responsibility is ultimately yours. Do you need flexibility, economy, or something that can't be bought in pre-packaged format? Then I may be a very good choice. Conventional leisure travellers will be better off using the services of a qualified travel agent. If budget is your primary consideration, contact someone like Olesya (www.russiangirlfriday.com). If service with a smile is what you are looking for, visit your nearest McDonald's.
Visa assistance. I monitor the situation on the visa support market and will be able to recommend an agency that will issue you an invitation and guide you through the process. Or, if you prefer, I'll deal with such an agency on your behalf.
Visa registration. I will also suggest where to have the registration stamp put on your visa with a minimum of hassle and expense. Again, I can do the footwork for you.

Accommodation. For years I've been monitoring the hotel and apartment rental scene. I will be able to suggest a suitable place to stay. Sometimes my own apartment in the center of Moscow is available. See my www.cheap-moscow.com for a list of budget hotels apartments direct from landlords. Several room/homestay/B&B offers, some $25 or under, are also there.
Airport pickup. I'll do that myself or send a driver personally known to me.
Practical orientation tour: traps and dangers, how to use public transit or negotiate cab fare, where eat and what to avoid, what do to in case of emergency etc.
Speaking of emergency, I will supply with an easy-to-use local mobile phone and a list of numbers that will include the emergency department of your embassy.
Anything else to make the technicalities of your trip go smoothly and let you concentrate on your work.
